First elecric charging stations for vehicles have been installed at the Hindukus Express bus terminal and the Hindulush heights hotel in Chitral town. It is expected that soon electric vehicles would enter Chitral to give respite to the people who are constantly bullied by the govt, increasing fuel prices relentlessly almost on daily basis. According to 'Ariana News' Afghanistan's Islamic Emirate has rejected reports alleging that al-Qaeda and other militant groups are regrouping in the country, saying such groups are no longer present and that there is no evidence supporting the claims. Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, said groups that had previously been present in Afghanistan were linked to the circumstances and jihad of an earlier period, but that major regional developments had since changed the situation. In the last 8 months there have been 1960 cases of sexual harassment in Pakistan. Of these 1015 pertained to minor children, 202 of these being below 5 years age. 58 of these children were murdered after being raped. These statistics are from Daily 'Dawn'. Goods transporters accross the country have increased freight charges by up to 40 percent following 5 consecutive fuel rate hikes by the Petroleum Division. Container transport rates from Karachi to Peshawar have risen to more than Rs. 900,000. Local and intercity transporters have also raised fares by up to 27 percent.
