Saudi Arabia restarts Umrah but (almost) bans Pakistanis

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Sunday announced that international pilgrims will be allowed to perform Umrah from the first of the Islamic month Muharram (10 August 2021), however, travelers from nine countries including Pakistan are barred from entering the Kingdom without observing quarantine in a sanctioned country.

  7. Brazil
  8. South Africa
  9. Lebanon

The Kingdom has also stated that the mandatory requirement for travelers is to be vaccinated against COVID-19 with complete doses of either Pfizer, Moderna, Astrazeneca, or J&J.

Similarly, those who were administered Chinese vaccines will require a booster dose of either of the approved vaccines to travel to the Kingdom.

Umrah will be permitted to people aged 18 years and above through an accredited Umrah agency by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. .. Source
