Poor Telenor service due to substandard equipment

Chitral :Telenor service is pathetic in Chitral district and subscribers are fed up complaining without getting any positive results.? When one such complaint was made to the District Franchise owner/manager Muinuddin, by Chitral News ,he said that it was primarily because of the substandard equipment fitted in the towers. He however, added that the company has informed franchisees that equipment all over is being converted from ZTE to Nokia equipment which will greatly enhance the quality of service after which 4G will also be enabled immediately. When asked “when will this be done?”, he said within a couple of months as the company authorities have assured him.

It may be mentioned that subscribers of Telenor who are the largest in number in Chitral due to extended coverage in villages etc, are fed up with the service due to weak and faulty reception. One subscriber said he was living under the nose of the Telenor tower but has to get out of his room to catch Telenor signals. Many subscribers have shifted over to Mobilink which has a far better service including 4G internet. .. CN report, 28 Jan 2018.
