The Fokker Friendship restaurant located outside of the northern periphery of Chitral airport was ordered to be sealed by the Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral. Reason given was the presence of the aircraft body being too close to the airfield and the Airport manager had already issued notice for removal of the aircraft body due to danger to flight operations.

The owner of the restaurant Shahzada Siraj Ul Mulk however strongly reacted to the notice and termed it abrupt and a revengeful act by the Deputy Commissioner over the former’s pointing out the failure of the administration to clean the trash at Qaqlasht after the festival. He also said, as the case of the aircraft along with those of other concrete buildings charged for the same, was sub judice in court, the said order of sealing the restaurant constituted a contempt of court.
