First ever village council tournament held

Chitral — First ever tournament at the village council level was held by village council Kuju in which 18 teams participated in the football game. Village council Ragh A beat Ragh B team to win the final. Old players of Ragh and Kuju also competed with each other in which Ragh old  beat Kuju old. District Nazim Maghfirat Shah was chief guest at the final event.— BH Azad, 05 Oct 2016

  1. Good thing. Village councils should be made functional and active. These are the pillars of democracy and effective governance. If village councils are made effective and efficient through governmental encouragement, there should be no need for LSOs etc.
