Punjabi family seeks ‘asylum’ in Chitral

CHITRAL: A family belonging to Hafizabad district of central Punjab has sought asylum in Chitral against the alleged atrocities of a Wadera (Chaudhry) of their area. Addressing a press conference at the Chitral Press Club, the family head Zaigham Abbas accused Chaudhry Ehsanul Haq a landlord of his area, of perpetrating atrocities on them because of which they have fled to Chitral considering it a peaceful area. He appealed to the Chief Justice Pakistan and chief Minister Punjab to provide security to them and take action against those who are out to harm them. .. CN report, 29 Sep 2019
