CHITRAL: The growing population and the increasing need of heat energy specially during the long winter season of Chitral has already done immeasurable damage to the oak wood forests in southern Chitral. The world agencies spend billions of dollars on saving the environment. If the grant a few million dollars to make hydel power stations and provide cheap electric energy to the people, the forests can be saved from further devastation. ..  CN report, 10 Dec 2020
