Oh Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate, I approach You in complete humbleness and submission, seeking Your boundless blessings and guidance for the year 2026.

I pray for humanity around the world, and particularly for those Muslims in Pakistan who are in a deep crisis of character acumen. Grant us Your divine help to rise from the depths we have fallen into, and awaken us to true righteousness.

Oh Almighty Allah, Grant our religious scholars, preachers, and leaders the wisdom, courage, and strength to boldly address the abysmal state of character prevalent in our society. Awaken them to the reality that many among us have begun treating all sins as easily pardonable, leading us to commit them without fear or remorse, thereby increasing our transgressions exponentially.

Oh Allah, Make us fully aware that lying is among the gravest of major sins (gunah-e-kabira), the mother of all evils, and utterly unpardonable in Your sight. Remind us through our preachers that You have cursed the liars in the Holy Qur’an, and instill in us a deep fear of this sin that corrupts souls and destroys the society.

Oh Allah, Give sense and priority to our preachers in their sermons and teachings. Guide them to focus on what is most lacking in our society, especially the fulfillment of Huqooq ul Ibaad—the rights of fellow beings—such as honesty, justice, compassion, and fulfilling promises, which are always neglected in favor of ritual alone.

Oh Allah, Grant us the strength to firmly adhere to our own beliefs while allowing others the freedom to follow theirs. Instill in us true tolerance, patience, and the wisdom to refrain from being judgmental. If we must compete, let it be only in goodness, humility, kindness, and civility, as You have commanded in the Qur’an: to compete in righteous deeds.

Oh Allah, Soften our hearts and fill them with genuine kindness and mercy. Make us refuse to hurt any human being or animal unnecessarily. Instill compassion especially in those who harm or kill animals for mere pleasure, calling the cruelty a sport, and guide them to see the sanctity of all Your creation.

Oh Allah, In times of victory and success, keep us grateful, humble, and ever mindful of Your blessings. In times of defeat or hardship, grant us strength, steadfastness, and unwavering faith in You.

Above all, O Allah, Make us exemplary human beings first—embodying honesty, integrity, compassion, and moral excellence—before any other identity we aspire to hold. Let our character reflect the beauty of a good human being and draw others toward goodness through our example. .. CN report 01 Jan 2026
