When war comes in a truck: The end of traditional defense

CHITRAL: The recent devastating drone attacks deep inside Russia, carried out by Ukraine using smuggled drones concealed in trucks, signal a frightening new chapter in modern warfare. The age of conventional battles is rapidly fading, replaced by contorted tactics and emerging technologies that are harder to detect and far more destructive than what an ordinary person can imagine.

Small, low-cost suicide drones now possess the power to cripple sophisticated military infrastructure, let alone civilian targets and future scenarios may even involve swarms of suicide drones launched afar from midair through cargo planes—rendering no place any more secure.

In such a world, the line between offense and defense is blurring, and the risk of mutual destruction in any conflict between nations is more real than ever. The illusion that one side can decisively “win” a modern war is crumbling. Instead, both aggressor and defender suffer—one perhaps more than the other, but both irreparably.

The message is stark and urgent: global peace is no longer just a noble ideal; it is a necessity for survival. Without it, humanity risks sleepwalking into a future of unstoppable, mutual devastation. .. CN report, 03 June 2025

  1. Mossad used similar methods in Iran what Ukraine has used in its drone warfare against Russia and historically popular for creative and covert methods for covert operations.
