Proposal for regional harmony by Allama Iqbal’s son- worth a national debate

CHITRAL: Our national poet, originator of the Pakistan concept and only second to Quaid e Azam in the list of our national heroes,  Dr Sir Allama Iqbal’s son, Dr Justice Javaid Iqbal has put up a very viable and reasonable solution to cure the persistent cancer of embittered relations between the two giant neighbours India and Pakistan. This lingering on acrimony has tethered both the countries to the post of poverty and backwardness, despite both countries having so much God gifted natural resources.

  1. The current budget allocation proves Dr Javed Iqbal’s point. If we look at the figures defence budget appears a giant while health and education budget look like pigmies. Same is the case with India. This would not happen if the two neighbours learn to live in harmony. Otherwise the people of both India and Pakistan would forever remain groaning under the weight of their own defence budget.
