Chitral .. Spiritual leader of the Ismaili Muslim community, Prince Karim Aga Khan addressed huge number of his followers at Booni and Garam Chashma on Saturday 09 Dec 2017.?He was received at Chitral by the MNA, District Nazim, Divisional Commissioner, the Commandant Chitral Scouts, the Regional Police Officer and other officials and at Booni by the Deputy Commissioner and Officials.

Due to inclement weather, the C130 aircraft in which he was supposed to fly could not takeoff from Islamabad in time. The AKF Helicopter Wing however took over and proved it’s worth by promptly dashing over to Islamabad in marginal weather and ferried the Imam and his entourage to grace Chitral and allay the anxiety of tens of thousands of the waiting faithful at Garam Chasma and Booni. Due to the four hour delay in scheduled departure from Islamabad and extended ceremonies at both the Deedar Gahs, the Imam decided to stay overnight in Chitral.

In his address at both the congregation venues, His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan stressed the importance of education in particular and like he has proved by putting his vision into practice to show the world how education can transform the lives of people,? he paid special emphasis on it in his address. He also stressed upon the importance of living a clean, simple and honest life, of peace, harmony and coexistence and asked his followers to disseminate love and affection generously which is the need of the world today, he said. ..
