If you ask any Canadian, our country is the best place to live.? But, the rest of the world is starting to catch on.? A ranking conceived by US News, Y&R?s BAV Consulting, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, put Canada as the second greatest country in the world.

The ranking considered 80 countries by scoring them on 65 attributes.? The attributes were divided into nine sub-rankings which included adventure, citizenship, cultural influence, entrepreneurship, heritage, movers, open for business, power, and quality of life.? The resulting scores were translated into a scale comparing each nation.? The overall score is given a rate out of ten.

Canada managed to pull a near perfect 9.9 overall score, and flourished in areas like citizenship and entrepreneurship.? A 10 ranking in quality of life placed Canada first overall in this category.? Here is Canada?s scorecard:

Switzerland was able to knock Canada out of the top spot, and the top ten is rounded out with Germany (3), United Kingdom (4), Japan (5), Sweden (6), Australia (7), the U.S. (8), France (9), and the Netherlands (10).?
