Positive role of Private Schools in Chitral -letter

Education is the birth right of every human being irrespective of gender. History is a witness to the fact that only those nations have reached the zenith of progress who gave top priority to education. Fortunately Chitral in spite of being the remotest & most backward district of NWFP is third from top in the literacy rate list.

The credit of this high literacy rate goes to those private running schools whose real aim is to make education accessible & qualitative to the youth of Chitral. There is a well known English maxim that says 'well begun is half done'. These English medium private schools provide such a sound background that when the students finish their schooling, they get the appropriate motivation & continue their studies beyond schools & colleges unlike other districts of our province.

We must appreciate & encourage these private entrepreneurs for establishing & maintaining such good institutions which have really changed the mental outlook of Chitralis. Some amongst the many the good names are; Sayurj public school, Pamir public School, Islamia Model school Bombagh, Aga khan Schools etc. This is my humble request to the government that if itself  is not in a position to provide quality education in Chitral then at least the Govt should provide moral & financial support to such institutions in preparing the Chitrali generation for the challenges of this pluralistic world.
